Statement from the Voice Health Institute
On behalf of the board of directors of the patient-based nonprofit Voice Health Institute (VHI), I would like to thank Larry and Lucy Page for their exceptional support. The VHI was founded in 2003 by a group of committed patients suffering from throat, larynx and voice problems and has grown to become a key catalyst for voice restoration research.
The Pages' generosity will enable us to help steward a new era of pioneering surgical, medical and engineering innovations that will provide new solutions for the millions of individuals suffering from voice loss and breathing problems in the upper airway. I would also like to thank Julie Andrews and Steven Tyler as key VHI Advisory Board members who have been invaluable in helping us over the past decade to raise crucial public awareness about human voice loss.
